Former Spartak Moscow player Alexander Mostovoy has shared his thoughts on Zenit St. Petersburg forward Luis Enrique’s performance. In an exclusive interview with Sovsport correspondent Mikhail Mozharovsky, he compared the Brazilian to other foreign players who previously represented the club.
“Hulk and Malcom are stronger than Luis Enrique. At least, their impact on the results was much more significant. Enrique is a top player by RPL standards, but he remained in the shadows in many matches. Maybe he didn’t give his full effort at times. He has plenty of individual skill. If he had played at 100% of his potential all season, Zenit would have already won the RPL early,” Mostovoy stated.
With two rounds left in the Russian Premier League, Sergei Semak’s side sits second in the standings, just one point behind Krasnodar. In the current RPL season, Luis Enrique has appeared in 26 matches for Zenit, scoring four goals and providing three assists.
