Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev has advanced to the fourth round of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Rome for the first time since 2023.

In the third round, the 28-year-old, seeded 12th, defeated Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, ranked 23rd in the world, with a score of 6–4, 6–4.
In the Round of 16, Rublev will face either American Brandon Nakashima or Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili.
Rublev’s best result at the Rome Masters remains a quarterfinal appearance in 2021. He currently holds the 14th position in the ATP rankings, second among Russian players, and has won 17 career ATP titles.
The Rome tournament, with a prize fund of €8.235 million, is set to conclude on May 17.
