According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Chelsea are exploring the appointment of Xabi Alonso as their new long-term head coach. The report states that the 44-year-old is open to the possibility of managing the Blues, though nothing has been finalized as the process continues. Andoni Iraola remains a strong contender as well and is expected to leave Bournemouth this summer.
Fabrizio Romano confirms that after initial contact with his representatives, Alonso is open to moving to the Premier League this summer.
